The first class of STEP 2 conducted on 15 and 16 January, 2020

The first class of STEP 2 was conducted on 15 and 16 January, 2020 at Inamori Hall on Ito Campus of Kyushu University as part of curriculum of “Diversity and Super Global Training Program for Female and Young Faculty (SENTAN-Q)”.

 

The two-day lecture was delivered by Professor Andrew T.S.Wee from National University of Singapore (NUS), who is a former Vice President for Globalization and Cooperation of NUS. Lecture1 and Lecture 2 were conducted entirely in English on the following themes:

 

Lecture 1: Introduction to NUS, University Governance, International Competitiveness

Lecture2: Importance of Diversity for Society and University (Research and Education)

 

During the lecture, trainees and lecturer actively participated in discussion and exchanged their views on University Governance, International Competitiveness and the Importance of Diversity for Society and University. At the end of the two-day class, trainees were requested to submit a report.
