and Super Global Training Program
for Female and Young Faculty

The second class of STEP 2 was conducted on 12 and 13 February, 2020 at Open Space of ISI Building and Leading Program Room of Open Learning Plaza on Ito Campus at Kyushu University, as part of curriculum of “Diversity and Super Global Training Program for Female and Young Faculty (SENTAN-Q)”.

The two-day lecture was delivered by Professor Jean-Luc Bredas from the University of Arizona (Former Dean) on the following themes:

Lecture1: Leading University Department or Institute

Lecture2: Strategic Vision for a Research-Oriented Large Public University

: The Case of the University of Arizona

The lecture was conducted entirely in English on active learning methods. During the lecture, Professor Jean-Luc Bredas offered wide knowledge of long-perspective what university should be, university mission and management. Trainees had a comprehensive and fruitful discussion and further deepened their understanding than the first class of STEP 2.
