Completion Ceremony for the 5th Term of SENTAN-Q Program
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the completion ceremony for the 5th Term of SENTAN-Q Program was held at Kyushu University’s Shiiki Hall on the Ito Campus.
The 5th Term participants were selected in the 2023 academic year, and ten members — seven women and three men — began the two-year training program in August.
In December 2023, they took part in STEP 2, “University Governance and Diversity & Inclusive Education,” conducted in person with a lecturer invited from the University of California, San Diego — the first time in four years.
During STEP 6, all participants traveled abroad and gained valuable international experience through lectures and student guidance at universities.
At the ceremony, President Ishibashi presented certificates of completion to all 5th Term participants, followed by summary presentations by the ten graduates. Reflecting on their experiences, the graduates shared comments such as, “This program provided valuable opportunities that will lead to future international collaborations,” and expressed their aspirations “to contribute not only to our own research but also to the development of our departments and Kyushu University.”
The ceremony concluded with congratulatory remarks from Executive Vice President Aradono and Executive Vice President Sonoda, as well as Professor Jotaki, SENTAN-Q Coordinator. Finally, Vice President Tamada, who also serves as a SENTAN-Q Coordinator, delivered closing remarks, expressing high expectations for the graduates’ future success.
