“Diversity and Super Global Training Program for Female and Young Faculty (SENTAN-Q)” Receives the Highest Rating “S” in the Final Evaluation
The Diversity and Super Global Training Program for Female and Young Faculty (SENTAN-Q), implemented at Kyushu University from FY2019 to FY2024 under MEXT’s “Initiative for Realizing Diversity in the Research Environment (Advanced Type)”, has received the highest rating of “S” (exceeding the original project plan) in its final evaluation.
Through this initiative, Kyushu University promoted the Diversity and Super Global Training Program for Female and Young Faculty (SENTAN-Q) to foster women and early-career faculty members who can thrive globally. Over six cohorts, a total of 60 trainees were selected through a highly transparent screening process and participated in training that included international collaborative research and practical teaching and research supervision at overseas universities in cooperation with leading institutions abroad.
As a result, many trainees have advanced to senior academic positions. The program was highly recognized as a pioneering initiative that promotes the development of women and early-career faculty members and strengthens Kyushu University’s global research and education environment.
